META PROTOTYPE CORE FARMING!
So make sure you do not break down random prototype gear WAIT, starting on August 4 2026 the Prototype Surge event begins that doubles the amount of cores from multiple methods. I’ll be breaking down all mine that are not absolutely needed personally, run Escalations more during events. Even prototype caches like from Incursions will have double.
Why do this? Prototype cores allow you to reroll augments to get the precise one your build needs. Cores also allow you to upgrade the level of the augment from 1-10 increasing the augments special ability power or chance to trigger. This works only if you are using gear that is prototype and not normal gear.
