Chess when tired, your performance is really affected when tired. Thing is it’s very addicting to gain new knowledge over and over. I had this happen before when years I learned the basics, Id play then study doing lessons. Then go play again hours later hoping to be much better, nope. Now the next day after a nice rest then if your previous was worthwhile you will be smoking the table.

Blood of The Dawnwalker. This game has cool stuff but I am not enjoying and quit it within an hour. I have Witcher 3 game made by same people and never like that one. It’s been a few weeks and I avoid the game, says it all but maybe later on a rainy day. One thing is if you play many other games and let this one sit awhile it’s not super easy to get right back into, this may be the source of my frustration.

Stockfish 3 getting wrecked now. Very immediate upgrade in my Chess skills using the recent video I posted as main source of fire. Still lose here and there but now win 75% of the time today. Didn’t change my very basic opening or anything else. Gonna play Chess Battle on Stream in a bit to see if we can rank up more. If only yesterday’s complaining version of me could see me now, read a previous QT to see my whining about Stockfish 3.

Taking some basic Chess lessons again, I deleted my original Chess.com membership that had my best stats years ago, I did all the lessons on that sight, beat many of the bots up to 2200 rated but just a few times not often. Need to work on my tactics, Chess.com has an amazing set of bots with various ranks and play styles. They have the absolute best learning features and puzzles by far. Expensive though to get all their stuff unlimited with the Diamond membership, I have no issue paying for it otherwise you will be searching all over the net to get all these lessons. I just want binge on study material some days. My old goal back in 2021 was to hit 1200 elo in Rapid 10-0, so we will try this again. I satisfied the goal back then by hitting nearly 1400 elo in classical and said “ah that works for now”. Reason I play bots so much is online I had many cheaters play against me which is very discouraging, Chess is for learning to improve. Back in the day Chess.com would send me a message saying they found unfair play (opponent was cheating) and refunded my lost points multiple times. You can analyze games after and see low rated players do 90%+ accuracy which is BS and usually a tell. I play most of my Chess on Lichess.org due to its free system and different setup. I would like to hit 1200 on Battle Chess Xbox game too since it has Rapid 10-0.

Lichess.org Computer Stockfish Level 3. The increase in difficulty from Stockfish level 2 which is beyond easy to 3 is pretty steep. Once you hit level 3 it’s like what the hell happened here, you get punished significantly. I have beaten Stockfish 4 on my better days but 3 is an up hill battle to have any winning consistency. Nerd rage often, try it level 2 vs 3. A few more notes after analysis, Stockfish 3 will blunder often but they are not super noob obvious as easier levels and I missed many easy captures. Once you make a solid capture of a main piece more chinks in armor show. If you are ahead at end game it will always try to force a stalemate, really slow down and look. This is what I mean by punishing you, beating them then lose it to a stalemate. Move speed improves over time, but going too fast too soon is like beating yourself.
RuneScape DragonWilds Is Good.

RuneScape DragonWilds Is Good, survival crafting and some combat. Tried a bit of this tonight, it was very easy to start with relaxing atmosphere. Just got to the part where I was breaking runes to get some magic so still very early, it’s starts much better than Palworld. In Palworld they just overload new players with too much all over the place, DragonWilds has a very minimal UI to start that continually grows and you learn each new feature as you go one by one, I really appreciate this. This is really a big deal if you hate confusing UI over complex stuff, and it’s not treating you like an idiot either during the learning process. Well fucking done. No Man’s Sky has some Xbox bugs preventing it from starting properly, but I finally got in to play the new Expedition for first time ever. Oh man now this is absolutely fantastic, started a new save and recommend doing it this way, any rewards you get are transferred to your account. Plus starting new save is safer in case bugs happen, plus it’s just easier to startup this way. You start off and will see other players entering the area all the time, the missions are pretty easy if you have some experience in the game already. Im actually learning quite a bit. The really cool part of this particular Expedition is it’s telling the story of the game from the very start 10 years ago narrated by main developer. Highly recommend getting this game, start a new save, choose the expedition on normal mode. You will get a better start in the game than playing normally, better upgrades a tad less grinding. This game deserves all the hype it’s been getting, almost 90 hours played with no end in sight.

No Mans Sky 7.03 Bugged on Xbox Series S, red spinning icon all day. Game started once started a new save to try expedition that just launched, white screen then game crash, now seeing red loading all day. Game is bricked.
Grim Dawn Update?

Grim Dawn Update showed up on my Xbox today, there has been a new expansion released on PC a few months back but Xbox was is very delayed getting it. The update was over 2 gigs, started up game but didn’t notice anything new yet? Maybe I need to buy it? I don’t see anything new in the game or items new in store, not sure what this update was even for.

So many good games out right now. That RuneScape Survival game, Active Matter, both of these are being considered. My backlog is massive and now the Chess bug is biting hard again so might go study some basics again and memorize board coordinates. In 2021 I taught myself Chess online and would watch a ton of Chess streamers on twitch, recently when I started streaming I removed a bunch of Chess people I followed because many were not active in over a year or close to it. One individual was a GM and I watched him the most, now I feel bad because I heard he died around a year ago his name was Daniel Naroditsky RIP I’m playing a few games for you. He was so good at explaining his Chess logic while streaming, also just reminded me of how fun Chess is when trying to raise a rating, a grind.

Chess Battle game on Xbox. A pretty simple game very light weight, uses very low power too. Has online matches, vs stockfish, puzzle tree, analysis after match. Not sure on the locations and what they signify, but I am having some fun. Think playing on a larger tv screen makes it more exciting. Controller movement is a tad slower than what I am used to, but it’s a minor gripe for now, think I had one blunder out of 30 or so games due to movement. Apparently you can also do split screen but not tried it, only play solo myself. The online matches only have 4 presets, Bullet 1+2, Blitz 3+2, Blitz 5+0, 10+0 Rapid. I play Rapid 10+0 myself and could not imagine doing my best with controller on anything faster paced. When I started my standing on leaderboards was almost around 1000, now it’s around 100. I could potentially get pretty high on this board. My best elo is Rapid 1400+, but my puzzle rating is 2200 or was when I was a maniac online with Chess. In this game I have only gotten up to 868 right now in 30 matches or so, only lost twice competition is pretty easy.
