Stars Wars Outlaws – Game Experiences

Xbox Series S, Stars Wars Outlaws Ultimate Edition

Some experiences will be very vague, some may have spoilers.

Starting New Game:

• Difficulty Regular
• Right into it, “Kay and Nix” on Cantonica world.
• This whole part will be a tutorial with a bunch of sneaking around.
• Kay is your character the female scoundrel.
• Nix is your little creature sidekick who wakes you up to start.
• Start off in your small home in a basement you are renting from Preban.
• Sneak around, if caught no big deal you can shoot with blaster.
• Lots of air vents, cameras, alarms.
• Nix has abilities to help with many things like open doors, attacks.
• This is where many complaints about game are, sneaking around.
• Along the way shooting, jumping, swinging, puzzles are learned.
• Pretty easy door puzzles sound sequence, splicing is confusing at first glance.
• Just pick a icon and when a correct one is selected remember it.
• Be careful when using your hook to swing, I fell many times.
• You will be doing some go here do this quests, complete all those.
• Finally you will reach a point where you fly off the starting area.
• This can go much faster but I am exploring and picking up stuff.
• The game intro flashes and now you are in a open world Toshiba.
• The game visually gets really beautiful here and lots more appear in menus.
• – 2 hours played

• Game has a reputation system, get good with one piss off another.
• You will be picking up resources along the way.
• Taking out enemies while distracted was some sort of challenge.
• Some of these unlock things in game.
• I haven’t went deep into the menus yet, progression just happens.
• This is where I started this post actually, ‘Infiltrate Gorak’s base’.
• Communication from a arm band device is used a ton.
• Played arcade game like Galaga kind of while walking around city.
• Another Ubisoft game with ladder sliding down very familiar.
• New thing is can climb ladder faster too.
• So needed to get in this place, tried the front door with guards.
• Nope but had to do this to get some game movement happening.
• Ok so if I get caught sneaking can lose reputation it says.
• Dark area entered, Kay pops out flashlight automatically.
• Got spotted, enemy with shield, said Pyke will remember this.
• They melee and shield goes down, shoot then.
• Again sending Nix into tiny entrance to call turbo lift.
• Hold left D pad and press Y to open binoculars.
• Ok you can Annotate objects with binocs, never seen this.
• More sneaking around.
• Grenades, hold D Pad left and A button.
• Picked up A300 blaster rifle and sniper rifle on rack, new.
• Completed Underworld mission.
• I was sneaky half of the time, but alerted enemies the rest.
• If you are into Star Wars themes you will enjoy the atmosphere.
• – 4 hours 15 minutes played
• Opinion: very slow start nothing very exciting has happened 6/10.

• Weird eating thing with Nix, press directional pad then some buttons.
• Like a puzzle to eat a meal or nothing disappears from plate.
• In loadout activated perk for Nix to kick grenades away from Kay.
• Finally out of the city area back out to open world, ton of stuff.
• Stole some loot from Pirate camp, got chased on speeder.
• Realized had to press LB to fire while on speeder, fun part.
• The big ship we used is called Trailblazer, has workbench for upgrades.
• Was a delivery box near entrance inside ship, had bonus loot.
• Guess stuff from the Ultimate edition and others, it was a lot of stuff.
• Yeap had two outfits worth of clothes, now nine.
• None of the clothing has any gameplay effects.
• Time to upgrade blaster.
• 2nd time my game kind of froze up, once unlocked delivery box items.
• Could not move but go through menus, saved game then loaded fixed it.
• Think it’s a quick resume issue, this is how it happened first time.
• I do a screenshot look at it and it leaves game causing quick resume to trigger.
• This third session was more enjoyable than the first two so far.
• – 5 hours 46 minutes played, Xbox dashboard stats not save file time which is lower.
