A nice event Red Moon Unleashed, to do this just go out and do open world activities. The special mobs will appear. Some tips below.
- Tidal Basin mission area is always a great spot if you are starting this out, fast travel there and do not go into mission. We are just doing open world events and in this area many are grouped together with lots of cover.
- Set your group settings to open, people will join automatically.
- Make sure to run over each loot drop, the tickets aka keys will pickup automatically.
- New players if in a group these mobs will come out non stop, lots of loot piles will drop. Do not pickup the loot keep helping the team and just run over the loot pile to auto pickup the event tickets. You will see a blue icon showing it has a ticket, you can get better gear during this event so farm tickets and keep the fast pace going. If a player goes through loot all the time they are a weak link in the group.
- The new event bounties are in the loot piles too, not like ordinary bounties so you won’t see them easily. These are the hottest items for this event due to having a chance to drop the best gear in the entire game. The Scarecrow bounty will probably be the most in demand for a chance at the best sniper rifle in entire game that’s Incursion locked.
- I was averaging around 30 tickets per hour.
- Try having a good damage shooting build with backups, skill builds will have trouble when hunter bosses come out.
- If the group does not have any Ember Engine build players I highly recommend equipping the build yourself, makes the random mobs much easier to take care of. Plus I believe it helps with the mobs spawning due to the long pulse range, you aggro everything and this is good for the event.
- Head back to DC and spend your tickets, I typically buy all the Apparel items first, this event has really amazing outfits. Next spend on gear, you can get lots of great loot, new players this is how you can gear up super fast. Finally donate tickets to help the community goals progress and earn rewards.
- If you are in combat and need to swap build just fast travel to DC, swap and fast travel back to group.
- If farming at a control point that you have control of and you die, just release and you can now respawn right back there. Don’t lay on the floor waiting for a revive in this case.
- Keep the flow going in the group, if you are distracted or want to go through collected loot just leave group to do all that.
