I haven’t done much of this Onslaught GE and its actually pretty good based around special ammo (status effects), so gonna play it since Division 2 servers have been screwing up for me. Apparently Division 2 server issues are due to the red moon event and players logging in and out a bunch to find the special enemy, this is hurting Escalation and booting players making them lose tokens. This is Day 1 (Sept 28) of the Onslaught event and lasts 7 days, you will gain global event points to buy caches with classified gear. Classified gear is the best gear in Division 1.
Reload your weapon until you get the right status effect ammo you want or need.
To play this you just reload your weapon to get 1 of 3 status effect ammo you want “confuse, fire, bleed”. It doesn’t seem like much but it helps a bunch especially if doing Survival solo. I pretty much kept using confuse and fire loaded on all my weapons and it was great. When in a group it gets a bit more tricky with the extra modifiers (Savage and Brutal) you can add for more global event points, you need to have the correct ammo status effect to do damage with Savage activated. Each enemy has a different one so there is a bunch of reloading going on.
The global event is automatically activated, you earn the event points from many activities, read below for more info.
- Killing the 15 named bosses in open world, 150 points each. These bosses respawn after being killed every 4 hours so you can grind them, plus they have a chance to drop exotic and classified loot. Look up the location maps for them online, I got them all memorized from farming them so much.
- Doing missions, harder difficulties gain more.
- Activate extra modifier in group missions for more points.
- Survival caches include points, any you earn while event is active will have them even after event is over. This is a trick many players use to gain a ton of points for the next event, helps with commendation achievements so players will log in with alt character and earn survival caches then save them to open later.
- Daily and Weekly High Value Target HVT, more points the harder the target is.
When Global Events are active it can make the amazing Survival DLC in The Division 1 a bit easier to get through.
